Remit
The GP Subcommittee has two main statutory functions:
- to provide advice on the operation of general medical services;
- to advise the Area Medical Committee. (The general function of the AMC is to advise the Health Board on the provision of NHS services.)
The Local Medical Committee deals with matters relating to the remuneration and conditions of service of doctors.
How to join?
To join you must be a GP or sessional GP working in the Highland Health Board. Levies are taken from source depending on the number of your patients and are set nationally. Contact us to find out more or to become a member.
